On January 21st, 2025, the online seminar titled “International Symposium on Risk/Resilience Management in Social-Ecological Systems”, organized by BK21 FOUR R&E Center for Environmental Science and Ecological Engineering, Korea University, brought together experts to discuss key environmental challenges and innovative solutions.

On January 13, the OJeong Resilience Institute (OJERI) at Korea University hosted an engaging lecture series focused on climate resilience and sustainable development. Prof. Dr. Woo-Kyun Lee of Korea University warmly welcomed the participants from the Hanns Seidel Foundation.

Every year on February 2nd, the global community celebrates World Wetlands Day to raise awareness about the vital role of wetlands in supporting biodiversity, mitigating climate change, and sustaining human livelihoods. This year’s theme, “Protecting Wetlands for Our Common Future”, highlights the urgent need to protect and rehabilitate these crucial ecosystems to benefit our planet and future generations. The Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Korea is proud to join this global movement.
