Hanyang University's Leading Project for Unification Education held a workshop on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on July 31.

On July 20th, the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the Wildlife Science Conservation Center of Mongolia, is hosting a significant hybrid workshop on the Bar-headed Goose, a pivotal waterbird of the Central Asia Flyway (CAF). This event is part of HSF's Global Project for Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change (GMACC), aimed at bolstering regional networks among experts and enhancing collaborative conservation efforts.

The hybrid workshop on ‘Flight for Survival: Addressing Illegal Killing, Taking, and Trade(IKTT) of Migratory Birds and Impacts of Energy Infrastructures in the Central Asian Flyway(CAF)’ was held on 19 July.

The 50th anniversary of the Korea-Germany Forestry Cooperation was held on 3 July to reflect on the achievements and historical significance of this collaboration between Korea and Germany and discuss the future direction of forestry technology.

On 8 July, Dr. Seliger and Ms. Baek at HSF Korea visited the Urban Bees Seoul office and urban beekeeping site in the Samgakji area.

On the 3rd of July, HSF staff Min Jae Baek and Hannah Schiff joined the International Symposium on Desertification and Sand and Dust Storms at the National Institute of Forest Science. At the symposium, experts and organizations came together to share their knowledge, research, and projects fighting against desertification, sand and dust storms (SDS).

As part of the “International Symposium on the Return of Bees to Overcome the Climate Crisis”, experts, delegations, and organizations came together on the 28th of June to discuss sustainable beekeeping technologies and the role of beekeepers in climate change.

As part of the “International Symposium on the Return of Bees to Overcome the Climate Crisis”, on the 27th of June the Hanns Seidel Foundation co-hosted, together with the Slovenian Embassy and Korean Rural Cooperation, a field trip to explore beekeeping in Seoul, Pacheon and the DMZ.
