Internship
Valuable Experience at HSF Korea

Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea Office has been offering internship programs to students who are interested in Inter-Korean relations and sustainable development for more than 10 years. Previous intern Kevin ChongHwi Yoon had his last day at HSF Korea on Monday. Currently, interns Haan Choi and You Jin Cho are working at the office.

In the service of democracy, peace and development, HSF Korea has its mission aiming for international integration and cooperation in the Korean Peninsula. Researchers are offered valuable opportunities during their time in the office, being able to attend numerous conferences and events and to implement research of their own interest.

May 3rd was researcher Kevin’s last day at Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea Office. After working for about a year and a half as a researcher and a technical assistant, Kevin left the office to pursue his future endeavors. The whole office held a small farewell party on Monday, thanking his contribution and service to the organization.

Meanwhile, researchers (interns) Haan Choi and Youjin Cho are currently working as full-time researchers in the office. Through the experience of planning and attending events, including the HSF-KIPCO German-Korean Reunification Forum and the HSF-GMU Workshop, they were able to cultivate professional skills and expand their scope of practical experience.

The internship program provides opportunities for recent or expected college graduates to help them learn practical working skills and establish relationships with partners in relevant fields. Students interested in working for a German political foundation in Korea, or are interested in politics in general, the Korean Peninsula or environmental studies are welcome to apply for internship positions at HSF Korea.
