HSF WORLDWIDE
The Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) is a non-stock, not-for-profit, non-governmental entity (NGO) organized and existing under the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany with its main office in Munich, Germany. It supports programs and projects in more than 60 countries worldwide. The international cooperation program of HSF is funded by official sources, namely, the Federal Government of Germany, the European Union and the Government of the Free State of Bavaria/Germany.
HSF IN KOREA
For more than 30 years the office of HSF Korea is based in Seoul and has supported the process of reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula. In South Korea, this includes regional development, in which the border region (DMZ) is especially focused upon. In North Korea, HSF attempts to contribute to the peaceful development of the region through activities that aim for international integration and cooperation in matters concerning the environment.
OUR PROJECT GOALS ON THE KOREAN PENINSULA
The major emphasis of our work on the Korean Peninsula is the consultation on topics related to the inner-Korean process of reconciliation. By offering a diverse range of activities, HSF Korea has become a trusted partner in both South and North Korea. The project goals of HSF Korea are:
