Every year on the 5th of June, the world celebrates the World Environment Day, a cooperation project of several environmental organizations. Each World Environment Day is organized around a specific theme. This year’s theme is ‘Connecting People to Nature - In the City and on the Land, from the Poles to the Equator'.

Therefore, the World Environmental Day represents a chance to reconnect with nature and celebrate the places that matter most to you. This year’s host country is Canada.

Environmental protection is a top priority for the Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea. Therefore, we put great efforts in environmental projects regarding transboundary nature cooperation and sustainable reforestation on the Korean Peninsula.
