Meeting with Prof. Dr. Alexander Görlach and artist Lee Kyeong-hwan

Young Korean artist Mr. Lee Kyeong-hwan, Prof. Dr. Alexander Görlach from NYU, and Mr. Johannes Hollunder from Hanns Seidel Foundation held discussions on April 12 on arts in South Korea. Lee introduced his works, and a discussion followed about intercultural communication via the arts.

On April 12, Hanns Seidel Foundation facilitated a meeting between German professor Dr. Alexander Görlach and young Korean artist Mr. Lee Kyeong-hwan. Lee explained the inspiration and aesthetics behind his artistic approach. He also provided information on the artistic scene in South Korea’s capital. The participants also discussed how arts can benefit intercultural communication and mutual understanding, which is a pressing issue especially in Northeast Asia. Prof. Dr. Görlach vowed to maintain cooperation with the young artist in the future.
