Seminar
Lecture at Yonsei University

On Monday, the 25th of November 2019, Dr. Bernhard Seliger and Mr. Young-Soo Kim of the Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea, as well as Dr. Isabelle Harbrecht, the Head of the department for North-East and Central Asia at the Munich HSF headquarter, were invited to Yonsei University

The reason for the visit was to give a lecture about the Sustainable Development Goals and the projects of HSF in North Korea. Dr. Harbrecht opened the lecture with a small introductory speech in which she names the intersections between the German division history and the politically tense situation of the Korean peninsula while also expressing her confidence in a possible reconciliation.

This was followed by a presentation on the work and the achievements of the Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea held by Dr. Bernhard Seliger, the representative of the HSF Korea. A brief question and answer session was given in the end. The over 70 students showed great interest in the topic and were very curious in the projects with North Korea.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea would love to thank the Yonsei University, the students and Professor Hyung-Jong Kim for the cooperation.
