Sustainable Ecotourism

On 13 February Dr. Choong-Ki Kim and his team of Korea Environment Institute organized a meeting related to sustainable ecotourism with the Korea Federation of Environment Movement.

Dr. Nial Moores of Birds Korea and Prof. Myung-Ae Choi gave presentations to discuss long-term and sustainable local ecotourism developments. Dr. Moores explained the ecological and cultural value of Baekryeong-do based on the survey result from 2003 to 2019. Prof. Choi explained the direction of ecotourism by introducing the case of ecotourism in Jeung-Do and Jeju Olle in Korea.

Dr. Hyun-Ah Choi, senior researcher of the Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea attended the meeting as an expert, and she shared ideas based on the foundations work on the Korean Peninsula.
