The new edition of THE UNIFIED KOREA (March 2017)

A new edition of the magazine “The Unified Korea”, which deals with topics concerning Korean unification, has been published by the Institute for Peace Affairs, a long-standing partner of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Korea.

Among others, this edition (March 2017) features the following topics:

An article by Nam Seong-ok, Professor at Korea University and head of the Graduate School of Public Administration, is concerned with the murder of Kim Jong-nam. Entitled “Kim Jong-nam’s killing and Kim Jong-un’s worst move” the article shows how the recent incident has worsened North Korea’s international position.

The main feature of this edition is dedicated to the issue of unification education: “Great transformation of unification education – towards a paradigm of peace and coexistence.” Respected experts on the field discuss the problems of previous education regarding the division and unification of the Korean peninsula and contemplate how to change the current education, in order to escape past paradigms.
