Special Lecture on EU climate policy on the Korean peninsula

As part of the Creative Core programme of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies to strengthen humanities in HUFS, Dr. Bernhard Seliger of Hanns-Seidel-Foundation Korea gave a special lecture on European climate change policy and the Korean Peninsula. In particular, he looked at the experience of HSF with projects on the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and biodiversity in North Korea.

On Dr Seliger's left side: Dr Jeong Hyeok, who organized the lecture

While the debate about climate change and ways to mitigate it and to adapt to it goes on, climate change policies opened a chance for meaningful cooperation of an otherwise more and more isolated country, North Korea.

The lecture was organized by Dr. Jeong Hyeok, also attending was the Jean Monnet Professor Kim Si-Hong. Further cooperation with the university and the Jean Monnet Center at HUFS was agreed.
