Prof Seiko Mimaki on the importance of solving historical issues

The second lecture by Prof. Seiko Mimaki looked into the role of history for reconciliation of the people in Northeast Asia. In particular, Japan’s relations to its neighbors are haunted by historical memories and unresolved issues of the past. To tackle these issues, but also looking into the future, is the important task not only for politicians, but for civil society in Northeast Asian countries. Students from Japan, Mongolia and Uzbekistan joined into the discussion.

Hanns Seidel Foundation cooperates with Hallym University of Graduate Studies since 2018 on issues of geopolitics of Northeast Asia.
