Gyeongbokgung Palace was built back in 1395. Since then, the palace was destroyed twice by the Japanese military and rebuilt by Korea. The second reconstruction is on for more than 30 years but has not finished, yet. Still, the already rebuilt buildings of Gyeongbokgung are very impressive, which is why Youjin Cho, project assistant of the HSF Korea, and Magdalena Kliegl, researcher of the HSF Korea, guided a group of members of the German Bundestag and the German Forestry Council across the palace grounds on May 2.
