In November, the HSF Korea staff published material on various important topics.

Understanding North Korea's Culture, Natural Heritage and Inter-Korean Cooperation

Dr. Hyun-Ah Choi from Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Korea participated as a co-author on a paper about “Understanding North Korea's Culture, Natural Heritage and Inter-Korean Exchange and Cooperation”. It was published by the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage this month. Dr. Hyun-Ah Choi suggested a cooperative plan for preserving North Korea's natural heritage and natural monuments under the title of 'Cooperation in Conservation of Natural Monument - Focusing on Conservation of Bird Habitat'. (page 366-387)

 

Contribution to the KMI’s academic series

HSF Korea also contributed to the Korea Maritime Institute’s (KMI) recently published academic series “Han River Estuary: A Waterway for Peace, Life, and Public Management”. In the section “Sustainable Peace Tour”, Dr. Hyunah Choi, Senior Researcher of HSF Korea, introduces case studies of peace tours abroad and illustrates the peace tour at Han River Estuary based on ecology, history, and culture. It is available in Korean only and can be purchased at both offline and online bookstores.

 

Research paper in the Korean Journal of Unification Affairs

Dr. Hyun-Ah Choi, Senior researcher at HSF Korea, also published a peer-reviewed research paper in the Korean Journal of Unification Affairs titled “Direction of Inter-Korean Environmental Cooperation for Migratory Bird Habitats Conservation on the Korean West Sea”. It is available in Korean only, however the abstract is provided in English as well. The paper can be accessed here.

 

Covid-19 and German Agricultural Systems

Dr. Bernhard Seliger and Dr. Hyun-Ah Choi from HSF Korea published together with Ms. Veronica Eichinger a peer-reviewed research paper in the Journal of European Union Studies. This paper deals with how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the German Agricultural Systems and is titled “Impact of the COVID-19 on German Agricultural Systems”. This research can be accessed here.
