In terms of South Korea, this issue has received an increasing attention of policy makers recently, even though the linking of ecosystems with conservation planning still remains a challenge.
Due to the absence of a framework or manual of National Ecosystem Assessment this study proposes integrated assessment approaches that could be applied for decision-making at the national level in South Korea. It demonstrates detailed conceptual approaches for supporting national resource management on a national level, which can be useful for ecosystem services assessment, habitat conservation, conservation planning, and decision-making at the national level.
