New Interns in Fall 2023

Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Korea continues offering internship experiences for aspiring specialists. Fall 2023 brought in three new intern researchers.

Recent or prospective university graduates with qualifications and interests relevant to the foundation's areas of focus have the ongoing opportunity to seek a research internship at Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Korea. Our interns can engage in various activities, including attending events alongside experts of their field, conducting in-depth research, assisting with daily organizational tasks, and building valuable networking connections. Interns at HSF Korea are assured of the opportunity to gain practical experience in fields such as inter-Korean relations, environmentalism, and development.

In August 2023, HSF Korea welcomed Fabienne Fornauf as a new research intern. She is pursuing a bachelor program in International Relations at University of Erfurt, Germany, and has a special interest in East Asian Politics. Her academic background led to her wanting to gain professional insights into HSF Korea’s work. Throughout the duration of the internship, she attended conferences alongside industry experts and conducted research tasks, thus furthering her knowledge in the field.

As a research intern, Sang Hyo Moon has been supporting the HSF Korea office since the beginning of October. She is studying her master program “crop science” in University Bonn. Interested in climate change and agricultural projects, and environmental education as well. Supported the office mainly though research and organizational matter, such as accompanying the North East Asian delegation on conferences. Additionally, she participated in various events.

Since September 2023, Lena-Marie Müller supported HSF Korea office as a research intern. She will take on the studies of Political Science in Germany soon and in preparation for this, she decided to undertake an internship at HSF. During the course of her internship, Lena was able to gain practical experience within the foundation’s work and expand her skills in terms of research and organizational tasks.
