Meeting with EAAFP
On May 24th, Hyeseon Do, Programme Officer of the East Asian - Australasian Flyway Partnership (EAAFP) held a meeting with Dr. Seliger and other members of the HSF Korea office. Topics of discussion included the upcoming event on the ‘Development of a Joint Inventory of the Status of Migratory Birds in the West/Yellow Sea’, along with discussions about other cooperative activities planned for later this year.
Meeting with RRI
Rural Research Institute (RRI) under the Korea Rural Community Cooperation is one of HSF Korea’s good partner organizations. RRI recently moved to Naju city to boost the availability of agricultural activity. On 31 May Dr Kim Hyeok, new Research fellow, Future Rural Research Lab at RRI visited HSF Korea to introduce RRI’s cooperation activity this year. Dr Bernhard Seliger, Mr Felix Glenk, and Dr Hyun-Ah Choi welcomed him and discussed a future cooperation plan.
Meeting between K-Water and HSF Korea
HSF Korea and K-Water work together since 2017 to cooperate sustainable water use on the Korean Peninsula. On 31 May Mr.Park WonYoung, Senior manager and his colleague, Mr. Um visited HSF Korea to share the co-organized seminar plan and discuss the next steps. Dr Bernhard Seliger, Representative of HSF Korea and Mr.Glenk, Dr. Choi participated in the meeting and agreed with their idea. Especially, Dr Seliger gave positive feedback to K-Water.
Meeting with Daegu City Government
Meeting with a good friend from Daegu City government, Ms. Kim Hoeran from the International Department, to discuss recent developments on the Korean Peninsula on May 31th.
