The Council of Diplomacy for Korean Unification (CDKU) deals with the relationship between North and South Korea. In March, the CDKU focused on the results and consequences of the South Korean presidential election as well as the North Korean missile tests. The Hanns Seidel Foundation cooperates with the CDKU and sponsored the meeting, which took place in the main building of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies thanks to Prof. Mason Richey.
The Graduate School of Public Administration (GSPA) of Seoul National University and Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea have been working together for a long time on projects concerning research and comparison of German and Korean reunification. At a meeting with Yeobin Yoon and Kristin Ham from GSPA, they discussed the cooperation and their experiences regarding reunification politics.
K-Water is one of the partner organizations of the Hans Seidel Foundation Korea, which played an important role in water and environmental management. Since 2017, HSF Korea has been cooperating with K-Water to improve the sustainable management of water resources on the Korean peninsula. On 17 March, Mr. Myung-Joo Lee, General Manager, and Mr. Won Young Park, Senior Manager at K-Water, visited HSF Korea and met with Dr. Bernhard Seliger and Dr. Hyun-Ah Choi, who presented the current activities of HSF Korea and offered future cooperation regarding water and green economy.
