During a subsequent discussion between the representatives of HSF and SNU, the plans and outlook for 2021 were discussed. Despite the restriction of the current global pandemic, both partners pledged to readjust ways to cooperate and find ways to turn the current challenges into opportunities. Topics such as best-practice examples by the South Korean public administration to react to global pandemics were discussed for events in the upcoming year.
The meeting came to an end after a visit to the newly opened GSPA Museum. The history of 61 years of existence of SNU GSPA was introduced to visitors. Until today, the institute educated 5578 Master´s degree holders and 289 Ph.D. degree holders. 95 GSPA graduates later became Ministers or Vice Ministers of Korean Governments between 2001 and 2020. HSF Korea is presented as one of the global partners of SNU GSPA in the museum and will continue to promote exchanges between Germany and South Korea.
