The cooperation of Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea with Gangwon province aims at sustainable regional development, and since 10 years the Research Institute for Gangwon, the regional development institute of Gangwon province, is a main partner in this endeavour.

On January 15, 2016, in Chuncheon Dr. Bernhard Seliger together with Kim Young-Soo and Yoon Yeobin of Hanns Seidel Foundation met with the president of the RIG, Dr. Yuk Dong-Han, and researchers specializing in regional development and in particular the development of North Gangwon province.

 

Both sides agreed to continue the successful cooperation. Among others, they will prepare a study on the development of the border region after unification, drawing on German experiences.
