Meeting with Dr. Kim Kwan-ho of the Rural Research Institute

In the office of Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea, a meeting took place with Dr. Kim Kwan-ho and senior researcher Ji Dalim of the Rural Research Institute, Inter-Korean Cooperation Center, for exchange of views on the potential of agro-forestry in North Korea.

 Agro-forestry since more than a decade has been practiced in North Korea as a way to improve agricultural output and promote sustainable use of sloping lands, and has been promoted by various international organizations and NGO. In the last year, DPRK together with the Swiss Development Corp. published a guideline and project plans on agro-forestry. Both sides agreed on further cooperation and exchanges.
