Lectures and discussions at the Changwon University

The city Changwon lies west of Busan on the Korean Souhern Sea. Here is (in Masan), in an even today existing export process zone, the cradle of the South Korean exportation miracle, as well as (because of the relatively secured situation in the South between the mountains) the cradle of the South Korean defense industry.

Changwon is also home of the provincial administration of the Southern Gyeongsan-Province. Changwon University evolved into one of the most important regional universities with a very active management of relations to industry and non-academical partners (such as the Hanns Seidel Foundation) under Prof. Jeong-Hoan Seo. Now a Memorandum of Understanding about a cooperation of Changwon University with the Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea was signed. President Haebeom Choi emphasized his delight about an active exchange with the foundation. Dr. Bernhard Seliger, resident representative of HSF Korea, made proposals for exchange relations in several areas, such as the training of civil servants.
