Internship programme of the German School in Seoul and the Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea

For many years, the Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea has offered young people the opportunity to gain first experiences for their future careers. Through its internship programme, the foundation is offering university students frequently the opportunity to gain insights into the work of a political foundation in general, and the projects of HSF Korea in particular. Thus, they acquire valuable skills in terms of research, administration and project coordination. Moreover, the foundation puts much emphasis in fostering already existing knowledge, by encouraging its interns to contribute to the work. The internships usually last for two to four months. At the moment, Ms. Janna Wörner and Mr. Philipp Kopp are supporting the work of HSF Korea during their internships.

It is important to HSF to especially encourage young people to participate in the internship programme. Therefore, the foundation also regularly offers students of the German School Seoul International(Deutsche Schule Seoul, DSSI) to complete the school-initiated two-week internship, that is mandatory for all students of the 10th grade, at the Korea Office of the Hanns Seidel Foundation.

In March this year, Konstantin Jelonek, high school student at the DSSI completed his two-week internship at HSF. Not only did he acquire new skills and experiences, he also was encouraged to contribute already existing knowledge in the work. HSF Korea received a certificate by the DSSI honouring the active promotion of internships at the office.
