Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam in Seoul

Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam led a delegation to Seoul for Startup Week ComeUp 2023, showcasing Ecothon winners and fostering global connections among Southeast Asian start-ups.

Last week, the office of Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam visited Seoul to participate in the Startup Week ComeUp 2023, which is one of the largest start-up festivals in Asia. In collaboration with their Seoul-based partner, the ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Center (ASEIC), Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam was spearheading a delegation that includes this year's winners, representatives from focal ministries, and local partners of the Ecothon in the Philippines, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, and Cambodia.

 

Over the last two days of their visit, Ecothon start-ups seized fantastic opportunities to engage with innovators, showcasing their business models and products to venture capitalists and potential partners from around the globe. Notably, the pitching session for Ecothon start-ups, co-organized by Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam and ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Center (ASEIC) at the Globalstage of the ComeUp event, garnered significant attention from participants.

 

On the final day, the Hanns Seidel Foundation Seoul Office was present to provide support to our colleagues from Vietnam and to connect with the brilliant minds driving the Startup scene in Southeast Asia.
