GAO seminar for the 3rd Anniversary - Agroforestry applications to plant forest in DPRK

The GAO seminar took place on 12th of April 2017 in Seoul, hosted by Green Asia Organization (GAO) and National Institute of Forest Science (NIFoS). Dr. Choi, Hyun-Ah, Senior Researcher of Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea, participated.

Dr. Park Kyeon-Seok, Senior Researcher of the NIFoS talked about DPRK’s afforestation battle, the status of the tree nursery and future directions. Afterwards Dr. Kim, Gwan-Ho, Principal Researcher of Rural Research Institute discussed the irrigation facility installation for agroforestry systems in DPRK. In the following discussion participants and presenters exchanged perspectives on particular matters in the forestry field and shared knowledge for future steps.
