Gangwon Forestry Exhibition 2023

The Gangwon Forestry Exhibition 2023 is held in Inje, Sokcho, and Yangyang from September 22 to October 22, with Goseong, a partner of HSF Korea, operating as the main stage with the theme of "The World, Find the Future of Humanity in Forests."

Forestry accounts for 82 percent of the total area of Gangwon-do, meaning it is Korea's "forest capital."  The Gangwon Forestry Exhibition 2023 opened on September 22 at the World Jamboree Training Center in Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do. This expo is significant as the world's first forest-themed expo, and 11 countries and 16 local governments will participate together. During this period, opportunities is held in Inje, Sokcho, and Yangyang, including Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do, to find ways to coexist in the forest sector, celebratory performances, events, and academic events, and to awaken the value of forests.

 

Since the HSF Korea is a partner in Goseong, Gangwon-do, Dr. Bernhard Seliger, Representative of HSF Korea, and Young-Soo Kim, the Project manager of HSF Korea, along with former member of German Bundestag (German Parliament) Hartmut Koschyk, attended the opening ceremony of the expo on the 22nd as guests.
