Meeting
Friendly (Junior) Exchange between Partners

Young representatives of HSF Korea and its partner organization EAAFP met to exchange information on joint projects and shared their experiences as interns of the respective organizations.

On March 18, Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Korea welcomed five young representatives of the East Asian – Australasian Flyway Partnership (EAAFP) Secretariat to provide an opportunity for interns of both partners to network and get to know both organizations better. HSF Korea and EAAFP have been cooperating closely for many years, working together on various projects, for instance on biodiversity as well as nature and habitat preservation on the Korean peninsula.

The exchange was organized by Mr. Yong June Kim, who completed his internship at HSF Korea in 2021 and Ms. Anja Molek, project assistant at HSF Korea. Throughout his internship, Mr. Kim had many opportunities to collaborate and network with colleagues from EAAFP and, afterwards successfully applied for an internship position at the EAAFP Secretariat.  With its vast network of partner organizations, HSF Korea encourages its interns to continue gaining professional experience at partnered NGOs.

After Ms. Molek gave a brief introduction about HSF Korea’s work on the Korean peninsula and explained about the current joint projects between the organizations, the participants exchanged their experiences and talked about their daily tasks and responsibilities. In order to further foster strong and meaningful relationships between the partners, HSF Korea’s interns will in turn also visit the EAAFP Secretariat’s office in Songdo Incheon soon.
