Felix Glenk in an Interview about Forestry Projects in North Korea

Maeil Business Newspaper interviewed the HSF Project Manager for DPR Korea, Felix Glenk, for their show RaytheP. In the Interview he spoke among other things about the EU-finanzed forestry project of the HSF in Sagseo-ri, 30km from Pyongyang.

Felix Glenk, Project Manager for North Korea of Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea, was interviewed by Maeil Business Newspaper for RaytheP, a program about the history of North Korean refugees and North Koreans who have entered various parts of South Korean society. In the interview he spoke about the EU-funded HSS forestry project in Sangseo-ri, 30km from Pyongyang. Felix Glenk emphasized in particular the international cooperation and the exchange with North Korea in the environmental field, which also calls for North Korean environmental experts. He also reports on his personal experiences as project manager for North Korea, such as his surprise at the fact that North Korea, an isolated country, wanted to become part of international environmental protection cooperation, for example through RAMSAR or International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). He then goes into detail on the forestry project and the role of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in North Korea.
