For three years now, a partnership is existing between the DMZ Museum in Gangwon-do and the two German museums. This year an exhibition with a focus on German Division and Reunification is planned. Two former signposts of the inter-German border were handed-over to the representatives of the Museum, that Mr Robert Lebegern, director of the German-German Museum Moedlareuth wished to contribute to the exhibition.
On March 31st a visit to the administrative district office in Goseong took place. Mr Kim Young-soo of HSF Korea introduction the foundation’s projects in the field of environment in the East Sea, where HSF is conducting a research project on habitats of seabirds. The project is connected to efforts to get a better understanding of the ecosystem that is connecting both sides of the inner-Korean border. Additionally, the administrative district office Goseong, as many other cities and districts along the DMZ in Korea, were invited to the German-Korean Forum, that will take place in July in Fulda, Germany.
