Ambassador Reiffenstuel at HSF
This year, Germany celebrates the 30th anniversary of peaceful unification - a Memorial Day also widely noticed in Korea. Besides, German-Korean relations also experience some challenges, foremost the joint challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic, which sometimes generates more inward-looking political answers, trade relations and other great challenges of the future like demographic and environmental challenges.
This also means a rewarding, but challenging job for the new German Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Michael Reiffenstuel. On 31st August he visited the office of Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea for a first exchange of views. HSF is looking forward for our joint cooperation and wishes him all the best for his new job in Korea.
