Taking part in the Gyeonggi DMZ Eco-Peace-Forum on September 20 as a panelist, Mr. Koschyk stressed collaboration on environmental projects with North Korea as well as preparing for future dialogue amidst tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
Meeting with members of the Korean National Assembly, he shared Germany's experience supporting civil society for reconciliation.
Additionally, he participated in the opening of the Gangwon International Forestry Exhibition, strengthening ties with local authorities and engaging with various stakeholders. Mr. Koschyk, alongside Prof. Dr. Seliger and Mr. Kim from HSF, actively engaged with participants, underlining the importance of sustainable forestry practices. The discussions and engagements throughout the visit emphasized a collaborative approach towards peace, environmental sustainability, and international relations.
Moreover, Mr. Koschyk attended a meeting at EAAFP (East Asian-Australian Flyway Partnership) and UN-ESCAP in Incheon, where discussions focused on reconciliation and peacekeeping in Northeast Asia, particularly emphasizing the preservation of biodiversity and habitat for endangered species.
These interactions highlighted collaboration, diplomacy, and critical regional issues.
