75 years ago, the Christian Social Union was founded in Munich as a political party. To commemorate this anniversary the Hanns Seidel Foundation is organizing an online event and wants to share it with everyone interested.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation as a political Foundation is associated to the Christian Social Union and shares its core values that are also embedded in its motto “In the Service of Democracy, Peace and Development”. 75 years ago, the Christian Social Union was founded in Munich as a political party. To commemorate this anniversary the Hanns Seidel Foundation is organizing an online event and wants to share it with everyone interested.

12 September 1945 marks the historical day of the foundation of the Christian Social Union in Munich. The Archive for Christian-Social Politics (ACSP) of Hanns Seidel Foundation compiled highlights of 75 years CSU-History  and will present it on 12 September 2020 in Munich in the book “75 Revelations about a Political Party – What you need to know about the CSU” (in German: 75 Enthüllungen über eine Partei, was Sie über die CSU wissen sollten!). The Chairman of the CSU and Prime Minister of Bavaria, Dr. Markus Söder, announced its participation.

The event will take place on 12 September 2020 at the conference center of HSF in Munich. Short clips about 75 years of CSU-History, congratulatory remarks, and statements of previous chairs of the party will be shown. The event can be watched via livestream from 2pm (CET) via following links:
