18th Policy Consultation Forum der Seoul Initiative Network on Green Growth

From 25th to 27th October, the 18th policy consultation forum of the SINGG participants was organized on the theme "Accelerating Collaborative Efforts for Climate Action in Asia and the Pacific" in Hotel Naru in Seoul, Korea.

Throughout the forum, participants seized the opportunity to discuss best practices, exchange valuable experiences, and fortify collaborative endeavors aimed at addressing climate change. The common goal is the achievement of carbon neutrality by 2050.

The first day of the event featured two insightful sessions on best practices in climate action within the regions of Asia and the Pacific. Distinguished speakers shared insights into national climate action strategies specific to these areas and presented compelling cases of sectoral policies and projects geared toward carbon neutrality.  On the second day, the forum spotlighted topics such as "Climate action cooperation between Asia and Pacific Island countries" and "international collaborative projects for expediting climate action and fostering green growth."

The first session highlighted best practices in adaptation and resilience enhancement, while the second session covered vital aspects of financial support programs for climate action and green growth, featuring notable SINGG pilot projects and MDB projects. The third day of the forum offered an engaging field trip centered on the theme of "Model project site for Korea’s carbon neutrality implementation," providing a hands-on experience of practical steps toward carbon neutrality.
