In April, a new article by Dr Seliger was published in the Journal of East Asian Affairs. Read more in the post!

In April, Dr Bernhard Seliger, representative of Hanns-Seidel-Foundation Korea, published a new article in the Journal of East Asian Affairs entitled:

“Economic integration and disintegration in East Asia and the COVID-19 pandemic”

The article sheds light on how geopolitical developments - from the Belt and Road Initiative to nation-state driven responses to the pandemic - have changed and challenged regional cooperation in East Asia.

Is East Asia moving towards closer cooperation - or are blocs continuing to gain ground?
