Hanns Seidel Foundation Participates in the Global Korea Forum 2026

The Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) continued its engagement with the Global Korea Forum (GKF), sharing insights from its work on the Korean Peninsula and reaffirming its commitment to peaceful dialogue and reconciliation.

On 28 August 2026, an HSF representative participated in Session 6, titled “Navigating North Korea’s Sociocultural Trends: New Paths for Cooperation.” The session explored practical approaches to maintaining connections between North and South Korea amid the prolonged suspension of official inter-Korean relations.

 

One key priority highlighted during the discussion was the need to strengthen people-to-people connections, which may offer one of the most practical ways to preserve ties between the two Koreas.
