Concluding 23 Years of Close Cooperation
Farewell at the Institute for Peace Affairs
After 23 years of close cooperation, joint seminars, and numerous study trips to China, Japan, Germany, Russia, and the United States, Dr. Bernhard Seliger of the Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea bid farewell to our long-standing partners from the Institute for Peace Affairs. The visit took place in the Institute’s new office in Goyang, marking a meaningful moment in a decades-long partnership.
Founded in 1983, the Institute for Peace Affairs is one of the Hanns Seidel Foundation’s most enduring and valued collaborators. During the gathering, Dr. Shin Yong-Seok, President of the Institute, and Prof. Shin Jin, its General Secretary, reflected on many memorable moments of joint work and friendship.
It was also a pleasure to reconnect with distinguished partners and colleagues, including former President of the Korean Institute for National Unification, Dr. Seo Jae-Jin, former Vice Minister of Unification, Hong Yang-Ho, the President of the Korean Council for Peace and Cooperation, Dr. Kim Jeong-Ro, among many others.
A heartfelt thank you to the Institute for Peace Affairs for the warm reception and for more than two decades of excellent cooperation.
