Meeting with the Ministry of Unification

On October the 7th the Hanns Seidel Foundation had a Meeting with Mr. Choi Jin-Yong of the Ministry of Unification and Mr. O’Dea, who is an expert on North Korea.

Mr. Choi Jin-Yong is the Deputy Director of the Humanitarian Cooperation Planning Division and Humanitarian Cooperation Bureau at the Ministry of Unification and Mr. O’Dea was a Food Security Expert under AFC International in North Korea who lived and worked there for over 8 years. Luckily both were able to find time and attend this meeting. Dr. Choi from the HSF, Mr. O’Dea and Mr. Choi Jin-Young exchanged their experiences and knowledge about the cooperative work with the DPRK and Mr. O’Dea suggested certain ways and possibilities to intensify work with the DPRK to generate a better and more specific outcome of the future activities, both by the Ministry of Unification and the Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea.
