Open Access Online-Series on Wind Energy

In autumn 2021, HSF Korea and German Embassy Seoul Seoul will present an open access online-series of seminars on "Wind Energy - Sustainability, Economic and Ecological Aspects”. Experts from the field will be invited to share German experiences.

Hanns-Seidel-Foundation Korea has been cooperating with Gangwon Province in a project on sustainable development of the border region since 2006. At the beginning of 2021, a small series of seminars on "Wind Energy - Sustainability, Economic and Ecological Aspects" was agreed upon in the presence of the German Embassy during talks with the energy department of Gangwon Province, which will take place in autumn 2021. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all three planned events will be held virtually.

The upcoming seminar on “Social aspects, siting, routing and financing of wind power plants” will take place on Thursday, 14.10.2021, 3-5 p.m. (KST) / 8-10 a.m. (MEST). Roman Rudnik, Junior Communication Officer at Federal Wind Energy Association, was invited by HSF Korea as guest speaker. His seminar will focus on the social aspects of wind power plants and the challenges they pose for politics and administration.
