The representative of Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea, Dr. Seliger, returned from Europe to welcome our new interns and staff in the middle of August. Hanns Seidel Foundation is happy to welcome our new staff, Ms. Khil and Ms. Reinecke, and is looking forward to future cooperation projects and activities!
The Korea Forest Service published the periodic synopsis "In-depth Look on Forest in North Korea”. This book outlines all the initiatives on Inter- Korean Forest Cooperation that have been carried out in the first half of 2022. Dr. Bernhard Seliger, Representative of Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea, wrote the congratulatory message in this issue. In addition, in the section "Footsteps of Inter-Korean Forest Cooperation," you can get an insight into the work of HSF Korea.
HSF Korea joined the Health and Medical Cooperation Platform and shared the information to build inter-Korean health and medical cooperation system. On 30 August, the platform had an online meeting to review the activities. Dr Hyun-Ah Choi at HSF Korea joined the meeting and suggested an idea for a future step.
Dr Jiho Ahn, Goyang Research Institute and his team have a research project on Peace Economy Network City (PENC), located on the Northwest Border of Gyeonggi Province. On 31 August, the meeting took place to discuss the PENC with invited experts – Dr Doo-Hyun Suh, National Institute for Unification Education, Dr Jaehong Kim, Korea Institute for Defense Analyses. Dr Hyun-Ah Choi at HSF Korea also participated in this meeting.
