Meeting with the Korea Forest Service

The Korea Forest Service (KFS) has the overall responsibility for establishment and implementation of forest policies and laws. KFS and Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Korea have been working together since 2012 for forest management on the Korean Peninsula. Especially, HSF Korea supported international knowledge exchange including experts from the Korean Peninsula in the field of forestry.

On 10 January 2018 Dr Bernhard Seliger, Representative of HSF Korea and Dr Hyun-Ah Choi, Senior researcher of HSF Korea met Mr Jae-hyun Kim, Minister of Korea Forest Service and his colleagues to share the information and discuss cooperation.
Mr Kim and Dr Seliger agreed to carry out more cooperative activities between HSF Korea and KFS in the future.
