As part of an excursion, Japanese students from Doshisha university visited Seoul and participated in an event titled "Dialogue of Future Cooperation between Korea and Japan in Northeast Asia." The conference was organized in cooperation between Japan's Doshisha University, Korea's Hallym University and Germany's Hanns Seidel Foundation. In a short input lecture, Dr. Seliger introduced the work of the foundation to the students. He also talked about the reconciliation process in Europe after World War II, from which Japan and South Korea could draw lessons for their mutual relationship. This was followed by a discussion session. Participants particularly emphasized the importance of youth exchange programs and the need for cooperation initiatives.
